The search is on for this year’s Courier Child of the Year.

We’re teaming up with ASDA in Halifax for the competition, giving parents a chance to win a prize for showing off their bundles of joy.

Contestants will be split into three age categories - 0-2 years, 3 to 7 years and 8 to 11 years, with one child from each age range winning a prize.

There are £100 in ASDA vouchers up for grabs for each category as well as family tickets to this year’s pantomime at the Victoria Theatre in Halifax, Beauty and the Beast, for the winners of the two older categories.

A professional photographer will be at ASDA on Sunday, November 18 and Sunday, November 25 between 10am and 3pm to take photographs of any child wanting to enter the contest.

Last year’s winners were Amar Hayat Chaudhry, Jimmy Hirst and Ellie Walton.
