A WOMAN had to be cut free from her car after it hit a wall.

The 46-year-old was driving along Stainland Road when the accident happened between Salterhebble and West Vale at around 7.51am yesterday.

Firefighters were called to cut her from the grey Suzuki Swift.

She was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary with minor injuries.

The crash caused huge queues for rush-hour commuters, with traffic at a standstill as far back as Greetland.
