Crews called to vehicle fire in Halifax

Firefighters were sent to tackle a blaze in a pick-up truck in Halifax this morning (Saturday).

When firefighters from Halifax and Illingwoth attended the incident in Holywell Green at 2am the vehicle was completely alight and threatening to spread to nearby buildings, vehicles and a caravan.

Firefighters using breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the blaze and managed to contain it.

Nobody was injured,

The vehicle was completely destroyed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
