Cricket - WorldT20 star back at school

YOUNGSTERS from Ling Bob School received lessons from a new England cricketing hero as they participated in the launch of the Chance to Shine National Cricket Day.

Katherine Brunt, who was voted player of the match after England's World T20 success over New Zealand at Lord's last weekend, was on hand to pass on tips and encouragement on a number of cricket-themed activities both in the classroom and in the playground.

The initiative was launched in over a thousand state primary and secondary schools across England and Wales with thousands of children aged eight to 14 taking part.
