Halifax police are appealing for information after a distinctive bicycle wheel was stolen.

The victim locked his orange Voodoo mountain bike in a bike hut in the car park of Morrisons, in Keighley Road, at about 7.25pm on Monday, February 17, and left it for a few minutes while he went into the store.

When he returned a man in a car told him he had seen a youth take the front wheel off the bike and run off towards the Furness estate.

The wheel is distinctive in that it is a 29-inch wheel with Voodo written on it. It is worth about £200.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 4735 Chelsea Beaumont or PC 1080 Lisa McDonald at Halifax Police Station via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
