Over 1,000 residents ventured into the Woolshops in Halifax to arm themselves with crime prevention advice.
Officers from the Central Neighbourhood Policing Team gave out free advice and home property marking kits. They also set up free Immobilise accounts.
Chief Inspector Steve Thomas, of Calderdale Police, said: “It was fantastic to see so many people coming along and taking advantage of the advice and help on offer. Crime is falling in Calderdale – so far this year compared with last there have been 761 fewer victims of crime in the district, and 114 fewer burglaries. It is important that we do all we can to keep it falling.
