Appeal over two reports of attacks in Halifax

Police in Halifax are appealing for witnesses to two alleged assaults in the Queens Road area.

Officers say they would like to speak to anyone who witnessed either of the incidents, both of which are believed to have occurred on the central section of Queens Road near the row of shops.

They were called to a report of a 46-year-old man being assualted between 5.30pm and 6pm on Friday, May 18 by four men.

The victim received cuts, bruising and other injuries. A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the allegation and bailed pending further inquiries.

The other report was of a 39-year-old man being assulted in the same area, also suffering cuts and bruising.
