Armed robbers weilding what could have been a gun attacked a woman’s home in Halifax last night.

The 38-year-old victim was at her home on Blackwood Grove in Pellon when she answered a knock at the door at 7.55pm.

Standing there was a man described as Asian and wearing light, traditional Asian dress and a skull cap.

She said he asked her if he could use her phone. When she refused a second man, wearing all dark clothing, appeared and held a metal implement, that the victim believed was a gun, to the her head.

The suspects then stole her mobile phone before running off towards Long Lover Lane.

The victim was not injured.

Any witnesses or anyone with information is being asked to contact Detective Sergeant Ross Wadsworth at Halifax CID on 01422 337089 or via Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
