Police were on guard at the house after the youngster died in Leeds Infirmary.
At the time it was understood that the child was originally taken to Calderdale Royal Hospital, then transferred to Leeds Infirmary, where she died.
Neighbours spoke of their shock at the time. “It’s absolutely shocking to think something awful might have happened so close to us. They only moved in a few weeks ago and kept themselves to themselves. You hardly ever saw them.
“I don’t think they worked and the curtains at the house would be closed all day. They certainly didn’t make any effort to meet any neighbours.”
