Four masked men armed with baseball bats attacked a car at Halifax traffic lights.

Two occupants, a male and female, suffered minor injuries in the assault on Saturday night and police are treating the incident as a targeted attack.

The couple had stopped at Arden Road preparing to turn right towards People’s Park.

A Ford Ka was also struck by baseball bats.

Det Sgt Terry O’Keeffe said: “We do not believe the public is at risk. This was a targeted attack.”

The attackers fled in a dark coloured car.
