Body found in search for missing Halifax man

Police officers searching for missing person James Gray have found a body down an embankment in Mytholmroyd.

Police were called 3.07pm yesterday (Thursday) to reports of a body being found.

The body has subsequently been identified as James Gray, who had been reported missing on Monday August 22. 

Mr Gray’s family have now been informed

The death is not being treated as suspicious and the Coroner’s office has been informed T

There had been no confirmed sightings of the 39-year-old since he was seen on CCTV at 6.34am on Monday August 22 on Burnley Road Mytholmroyd near to the junction with Moderna Way.

A huge police operation saw officers and the Calder Valley Search and Rescue team searching the area trying to locate Mr Gray.
