Three young children were in the same room as masked men committed a house burglary in Bradford.
Police are appealing for witnesses after an aggravated burglary on Northampton Street on Tuesday evening.
The incident happened at 5.51pm when four males with their faces covered forced their way into the house.
They then demanded the female victim hand over valuable bangles she was wearing and cut them from her using a knife.
The woman was left with minor cuts to her wrists.
As this was happening three young children were present in the room.
The four then made off down Southampton Street. The bangles were wedding gifts for the victim.
Offices want to speak to three Asian males and one white male in connection with the incident.
Detective Inspector Ryan Bragg of Bradford CID, said: “This was a particularly nasty and distressing attack during which children were present. I would appeal to anyone who witnessed it, saw four males in the area at the time or has any other information about it to contact police on 101.”
