DETECTIVES have made another appeal for information about a dumper truck ram raid bid.
The six-ton machinery was smashed into the front of PNG’s Minimarket in Clough Lane, Mixenden, Halifax, at around 3am on Wednesday.
The truck was left embedded in the front of the store and the raiders fled empty-handed.
They had managed to crash through concrete bollards and steel shutters before the heavy plant machinery became stuck. The owners of the store estimate up to £20,000 worth of damage was caused.
Detectives are urging anyone who saw what happened or anyone acting suspiciously in the area before the incident to get in touch.
Anyone with information that might help the police is being asked to call Detective Sergeant Terry O’Keeffe in Calderdale CID on 01422 337086 or 0845 6060606. Alternatively, information can be passed on anonymously by calling CrimeStoppers on 0800 555111.
