Driver has his car seized as part of police day of action in Halifax

A driver without insurance had his vehicle taken off him as part of a day of action in Halifax yesterday.

Halifax Central neighbourhood policing team and other agencies stopped 65 vehicles in Salterhebble Hill and Boothtown Road on Wednesday.

Two drivers were reported for not having a licence or insurance, one was fined for not having an MOT and another was fined for not having the right number plate.

SergeantWarren Pitman said: “The day was all about having a visible presence in the area so motorists trying to break the law knew they had nowhere to hide.”
