Drug raids charges

THE FALLOUT from the police’s drug raids continues as more of those arrested in the raids have appeared at Calderdale Magistrates Court. The raids were part of Operation Irondale which saw officers searching properties and making arrests.

Zaheer Hussain, 26, of Vest View, King Cross, faces eight charges of being concerned with the supply of class A drug heroin.

This is in addition to four counts of being concerned in the supply class A drug cocaine.

He stood in the dock alongside Thouqeer Hussain, 20, of the same address.

Thouqeer is charged with a further eight offences of supplying heroin and a further four counts of supplying crack cocaine.

They were both committed to Bradford Crown Court on July 4. John Sanderson, 65, from Queens Road, Halifax, is charged with eight counts of supplying the class A drug heroin throughout the Halifax area.

He was appearing for committal and will appear at Bradford on July 4.
