Police investigating an attack on a man in Mytholmroyd have released this e-fit of a teenager they want to speak to.

The assault happened as the 68-year-old victim walked up Midgley Road.

He was was approached by two men, including one described as white, aged 15 or 16, around 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins tall, of medium build and with short-cut fair hair.

He was wearing a white “school-type” shirt and grey trousers or slacks.

While he stood “chest to chest” with the victim, the scond man pushed into the victim from the side, squashing him against the pedestrian railings that run along the side of the footpath.

Police say no words were spoken by the suspects but continued their behaviour despite repeated requests by the victim for them to stop and allow him past.

They said the men’s actions caused the victim considerable intimidation and distress.
