A pensioner collapsed and died after a gang of yobs were reported throwing stones at her door in Wibsey last night.
Police were called at 6.11pm to reports of damage to an address on Fair Road.
The 84-year-old woman inside subsequently collapsed and was transported to Bradford Royal Infirmary where she later died.
Officers are investigating the circumstances which led to her death and CCTV inquiries from the area are ongoing.
Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Simon Atkinson said: “We received reports that three male youths had thrown stones at the address which had smashed a glass door panel.
“The elderly occupant collapsed around 10 minutes later and was transported to Bradford Royal Infirmary, during which period she sadly died.
“It is important that we quickly trace the individuals involved in causing this damage and I would call on anyone with information to come forward.
“We will not tolerate anti-social behaviour at any level in Bradford and we are determined to bring those responsible to justice.
“It is likely they live locally and people may know who they are. One of the youths was described as white, around 13 years old, of large build with dark, shoulder length curly hair. The two other males are believed to be of similar age and of slimmer build.
“Neighbourhood policing team officers are currently conducting focused patrols in the area to offer reassurance and respond to any concerns people may have.
“Any witnesses or anyone with information should contact the non emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555111.”
