Four ‘primed for theft’

Four men were arrested in Bailiff Bridge on suspicion of being equipped for theft.

The men, from the Bradford area, were stopped in a car by police in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Officers searched the vehicle and found items which led to their arrest for being equipped for theft.

The men are currently being held in custody.

Lush sentence

The owner of a Halifax nightclub has pleaded guilty to letting under-18s into his premises.

Nicolas Bouckley, from Albert Street, Elland, pleaded guilty to one charge relating to unauthorised licensable activity.

The charges related to a sixth-form party at the Lush bar and club in September 2010.

According to Bouckley’s licence, no under-18s were allowed on the premises.

He was handed 60 hours’ unpaid work and must pay costs of £600.
