A man from Halifax who went missing nearly two weeks ago has this afternoon been found.
A member of the public rang police after spotting Ken Howarth, 45, in Honley in Huddersfield.
After a search which included the police helicopter, Ken was found in fields, safe and well.
His partner Sharon Stead is understood to be with him.
As reported by the Courier last night, Ken left his home in Crosland Moor, Huddersfield, on December 27 saying he was going to visit his flat on Pellon Lane in Halifax but had not been seen for nearly two weeks.
Sharon had told the Courier she hoped Ken, who had been working for Pennine Housing at their Elland site and had recently been offered a permanent post there, would be home in time for their son Alex’s 15th birthday next week.
Officers said they wanted to thank the public for their help finding Ken.
