THESE are the charred remains of a caravan that was torched in a suspected arson attack.
Residents of 10 flats at Raglan Court in Raglan Street, Halifax, were evacuated at 4am yesterday as the vehicle, parked close to the building, was reduced to cinders.
Window panes of a number of flats were cracked by the heat, and there were fears that camping gas canisters inside the caravan could explode.
Halifax firefighters were at the scene with two engines for an hour, and police were called at 4.42am.
The blaze is being treated as suspicious. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0845 6060606 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
