Halifax ice-cream man Zeheer Ramzan has been sentenced over a bust-up with a rival operator.
Ramzan, 34, of Kingston Close, was earlier found guilty of assaulting Mohammed Mulla, in Blackburn.
The incident last June, which was caught on video by a neighbour, has since had one million hits on YouTube.
Ramzan, armed with a crowbar, was seen breaking a window in the Mr Whippy van of Mr Mulla who then hit the back of Ramzan’s Mr Yummy van.
Ramzan had previously pleaded guilty to criminal damage and possession of a weapon in a public place.
After a trial in November he was found guilty of assault with intent.
At Preston Crown Court Ramzan was given a six-month prison sentence suspended for two years, ordered to carry out 250 hours of unpaid work, pay £100 compensation and £800 costs.
He is also the subject of a two-year restraining order.
