Three men have been arrested in connection with raids on a jewellery store.

The men, from Leeds, were arrested in several raids by police on Tuesday and Wednesday, over robberies at Neimantas Jewellers, Brighouse.

Police have confirmed the men are 27, 23 and 22 years old. They are currently being held in police custody for questioning but are yet to be charged.

Last month the store was raided twice in a week by masked raiders.

They first struck on August 12, armed with sledgehammers and smashed windows before leaving in a stolen silver Audi A5.

This was followed by a second attack but this time one of the men was carrying a handgun.

A second man, carrying a sledgehammer, followed him in and filled a bag with diamond rings and bracelets.

At the time owner Steven Niemantas told the Courier about his ordeal: “All I did was just keep looking at the gun. I couldn’t look anywhere else.”
