Knife and gun robbery at shop in Huddersfield last night

A gang armed with gun and a knife attacked a convenience store in Huddersfield last night.

The three masked men threatened staff at the shop on Nabcroft Rise in Crosland Moor at around 9.15pm and stole cash from the till as well as alcohol, cigarettes and a laptop.

They ran off, heading towards Everard Street.

They were described as wearing balaclavas and black hooded tops.

One was described as short, in his late teens to early 20s and skinny, and another was described as being of a similar age but tall.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Armed officers were deployed to the scene.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who may have information about the robbery or who may be able to identify the men.

Officers have been carrying various inquiries in order to establish who the suspects are including viewing CCTV.

Detectives Sergeant Ian Thornes, of Huddersfield CID, said: “It is important we identify who these men are.

“Were you in the Nabcroft Rise or Everard Street area between 9.15pm and 9.30pm last night? If so, I would like to speak to you.

“If you have any information about the robbery I would urge you to come forward.”
