A lorry driver who was due to stand trial later this year accused of causing the death of two brothers in a motorway crash has himself died.

Leeds Crown Court officially marked the case closed after being told of the death of Michael Warren, 53, of Woodside View in Halifax.

He died on November 1.

He had denied causing death by dangerous driving of brothers Peter and Michael Zanetti from Leeds in a multi-vehicle crash on the M62 on May 19, 2009.

The crash closed the road for several hours and caused a 30-mile tailback.
