Man convicted for using religiously abusive language in Halifax

A man has been convicted for using religeously abusive language towards a group of students in Halifax.

The incident happened on Gibbet Street in January and a 32-year-old man from Lancashire has been fined, ordered to pay courts costs and told to compensate his victims.

This result sends out a strong message to the community, victims and suspects, that these types of incidents will not be tolerated and positive action will be taken against those who are responsible.
