Man critical after attack outside pub

AN Odsal man was in a critical condition over the weekend after a serious assault in Wibsey.

Police were called to Holyroyd Hill just after midnight on Friday to reports of a 22-year-old being attacked.

He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with a serious head injury in a critical condition.

Officers believe the assault may have stemmed from two earlier incidents.

The first was inside the Market Tavern pub, Wibsey, at about midnight.

The second was on Holyroyd Hill, about 150 yards away from the pub, towards Wibsey High Street.

Anyone who witnessed the assault on Holyroyd Hill, or the earlier incidents, should contact Bradford South CID via 101.

A 24-year-old Odsal man and a 24-year-old Buttershaw man have been charged and are expected to appear today at magistrates court.
