Police are looking for a man who demanded two teenagers hand over their take away food then attacked them in Huddersfield.

The 19-year-old victims were walking along High Street in the town centre at around 1.30am on Saturday when they were approached by the man who demanded their belongings and food that they were carrying from a nearby take away.

The victims handed over the food and tried to walk away but were assaulted by the man, who then ran from the scene.

Neither victim was seriously hurt.

The suspect is described as a white or Asian man in his 20s, around 5ft 10ins tall, slim and unshaven. He had bags under his eyes and was wearing a black striped top and orange deerstalker-style hat.

Any witnesses should contact Detective Constable Divek Ubhi at Huddersfield CID via 101.
