A MAN has appeared in court charged with sexually abusing three young boys.
James Saville Hartley faces 17 sex charges dating back 30 years.
The 48-year-old, of Moorside Gardens in Ovenden, Halifax, is accused of four counts of indecently assaulting one of the children and two counts of inciting the boy to commit gross indecency with him.
The abuse is said to have taken place when the alleged victim was aged between six and 12.
Hartley also faces four counts of sexually assaulting the second boy, who was under 16, and five counts of inciting him to commit gross indecency with him.
He is also said to have indecently assaulted another boy, aged eight, by kissing him.
All the offences are alleged to have taken place between 1981 and 1989.
Calderdale magistrates released Hartley on conditional bail. He will appear at Bradford Crown Court on December 1.
