A woman has made a plea for help finding her partner who has been missing for nearly two weeks and is originally from Halifax.

Ken Howarth, 45, left his home in Huddersfield saying he was going to visit his flat on Pellon Lane in Halifax on Thursday, December 27 but has not been seen since.

Police say they are urgently looking for Ken and his family are desperate to know where he is.

His partner, Sharon Stead, said he had been working for Pennine Housing at their Elland site and had recently been offered a permanent post there.

She is hoping he will be found and returned home in time for their son Alex’s 15th birthday next week.

“We just want Ken home,” she said.

Ken is white, of average build, with short light brown hair and a goatee beard. He has a number of tattoos.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a green waxed jacket, a blue jumper with vertical lines, blue jeans, and a black and grey beanie hat. He was carrying a rucksack.

Officers are concerned for his welfare and would like to hear from anyone who has seen someone fitting the description.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 1432 of December 29.
