A man has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries after being hit by a bus in Halifax town centre.
The incident happened on Commercial Street at 12.17pm today (Wednesday).
It is believed the man walked into a lamppost before stumbling onto the road and in front of the oncoming bus.
He has been taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary where his condition is described as “serious but stable”.
A road closure was put in place on King Edward Street while the man received treatment from paramedics and police carried out accident investigation works.
Any witnesses are asked to call police on 101.
