Man stabbed in Halifax town centre this morning

A MAN was stabbed in Halifax town centre this morning.

Police were called to Central Street at 4.20am to help the 29-year-old victim.

He was rushed to hospital with chest injuries. His condition was today described as serious but not critical.

Detectives are appealing for any witnesses to an altercation in the town centre from midnight.
