Masked robber with taser attacks petrol station in Bradford

Police are hunting a masked man who robbed a filling station in Greengates last night.

The man went into the Total garage at 11.35pm and threatened the cashier before escaping with cash and cigarettes.

It is thought he was carrying a hand-held taser at the time. No one was hurt.

The suspect is described as white and approximately 5ft 8ins tall.

He was wearing a dark, skin-tight top, grey tracksuit bottoms, black trainers and black gloves.

Detective Inspector Neil Benstead of Airedale and North Bradford CID said: “I am appealing to the public for help in catching the person responsible for this.

“Robberies such as this remain rare but nevertheless are frightening to those caught up in them.

“I would ask that any witnesses or anyone with information contact Airedale and North Bradford CID on the non emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
