Police appeal after Bradford woman is confronted by armed intruder

A Bradford woman was hospitalised after being confronted by an intruder in her home this morning (Sunday).

Officers were called to an address in Parkway at 4.25am where the 65-year-old victim discovered a male, armed with what appeared to be a handgun, inside the property when she went to investigate a noise.

The suspect, who was wearing dark clothing, ran off down Raybon Crescent.

Police in Bradford are now appealing for information to help trace the intruder.

Detective Inspector Ryan Bragg, of Bradford District CID, said: “Clearly this was a very distressing incident for the victim and we would like to hear from anyone who saw the male in the area or who has any information that could assist the investigation.”
