Police are appealing for information after a woman was robbed at her home in Bramhope.

The victim, who is aged in her fifties, was at home alone when three masked men smashed their way into the address in the Moor Road area at about 6.45pm on Tuesday, October 28.

She was then threatened with a knife. The men stole watches and jewellery worth a substantial amount from the victim.

Detective Inspector Paul Conroy, of Leeds District CID, said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim to be confronted in her own home by these men and threatened with a knife. We believe this was a targeted attack and we think the men involved may have been in the area in the days leading up to it.

“The property targeted is near to fields that are on a popular dog walkers route and I would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious either on the evening of the incident or in the period leading up to it.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Constable Steve Rochnia at Elland Road via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
