Police are appealing for witnesses to a Huddersfield accident involving an off-road motorcycle rider.

A Renault Megane estate car and an off-road bike were in collision on Bradford Road, at around 3.15am, June 14.

The motorcycle rider, a 24-year-old Huddersfield man, suffered head and serious leg injuries and was taken to Leeds General Infirmary.

A 23-year-old male pillion passenger on the bike also sustained serious leg injuries and was also taken to hospital for treatment.

Police are asking anyone who saw the incident or either vehicle before the collision to contact police on 101.
