Police are looking for witnesses to a fight at a bar in Huddersfield.

Officers were called to Verve on Byram Street at around 9.30pm on Saturday after reports of two groups of men fighting outside.

They say the fight is known to have taken place on the ground floor of the bar and left several people with minor injuries and the bar damaged.

Officers say they were on scene within minutes and began conducting inquiries to locate the suspects, who had fled.

They have arrested a 26-year-old Huddersfield man and a 24-year-old man from Oldam on suspicion of public order offences in conection with the fight.

The men were both questioned and bailed pending further inquiries.

Inquiries are ongoing and any witnesses are asked to contact Detective Constbale Craig Foulkes at Huddersfield CID via 101, or Crime Stoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
