Calderdale CID are appealing for witnesses to a robbery on Rastrick Common.

The 15-year-old victim was robbed of his mobile phone at around 9.15 pm on Christmas Day at the junction of Rastrick Common and Scholey Road.

He was approached and pushed by a man demanding his phone.

Fearing for his safety the teenager handed over his phone and £60 in cash to the suspect who then left the area. The victim was unharmed.

The suspect was a white man, around 18-years old and six-feet tall. He was thin, with ginger hair and was wearing a dark coloured coat.

It is believed that the suspect was in the Rastrick Common area with two other men before the robbery took place.

Any witnesses to the robbery or anyone with information is asked to contact DC 6629 Anil Seepujak at Calderdale CID via 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
