Police appeal over King Cross attacks

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a series of serious assaults and robberies.

There have been five attacks on men in the King Cross area between April 12 and May 1.

Victims have had cash and mobile phones stolen and been left with serious injuries including facial fractures.

They have occurred in the early hours, between midnight and 6am.

Officers want to speak to at least four Asian males in connection with each of the attacks.

Detective Inspector Gary Stephenson of Calderdale CID, said: “I am appealing for anyone who has witnessed any of these incidents or has information about them to get in touch.

“The key to solving these crimes lies in the local community. These crimes are being investigated by a team of detectives who are following a number of positive leads.

“These attacks are happening late at night or in the early morning and not when most people are going about their daily business.

“I am confident that those responsible can be quickly identified and arrested.”

If you have any information call Calderdale CID on 01422 337085 or 101. Or call the Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
