Bench stolen from Barkisland - police are appealing for anyone with information.

Police in Barkisland are appealing for anyone who sees a distinctive bench to get in contact.

The bench, which is white in colour and made of aluminium was taken from a property on Stainland Road overnight between Friday November 29 and Saturday December 1.

PC Dave McDonald is appealing for any witnesses to the incident or who sees the bench to get in touch.

He said: “This bench is distinctive and if you are offered a bench for sale then I would ask people to check a few basic points - for example where the bench is, who owns it and from where it was purchased originally.

“I would also advise people to follow some basic advice to help secure their gardens and items within their gardens. For example it is very important to keep sheds and garages securely locked and security mark any valuable garden tools or furniture.”

Any witnesses to the incident or anyone offered the bench for sale is asked to contact police on 101.
