Police investigating a fatal road traffic collision in Bradford are appealing for the occupants of a purple or maroon Peugeot to contact them.
The Major Collision Enquiry Team believes the people in this car would have seen the red Volkswagen Golf GTI shortly before it collided with a wall and a telegraph pole in Gilpin Street, Bradford at about 11.04am yesterday (Friday).
A 15-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to hospital following the collision but later died of his injuries.
Another 15-year-old boy suffered serious injuries in the collision, but these were not believed to be life-threatening.
A 17-year-old boy, believed to be the driver of the vehicle, was later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He is currently in custody.
PC Andrew McManus, of the Major Collision Enquiry Team, said: “A young boy has tragically lost his life as a result of this collision, so I am appealing to the occupants of this purple or maroon Peugeot car or anyone else who might have witnessed the movements of the Golf to contact myself or Sergeant 4756 Quinn at the Major Collision Enquiry Team on 101.”
