TWO rooms filled with suspected cannabis plants were uncovered during a police raid.

Around 100 plants were found at the building in Southowram when it was searched by officers from Halifax Central neighbourhood policing team on Thursday.

On the same day, the team carried out another raid at a building in the Park ward of Halifax.

A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply in connection with that swoop.

Acting Sergeant Adey Simpson said: “Information from members of the public helps us carry out searches like these. We take all information passed on from residents seriously and would urge people to carry on letting us know if they have information about crime in their area.”

Anyone who has information should contact their neighbourhood policing team on 0845 606060 or CrimeStoppers on 0800 555111.
