Police seize cash and drugs after raids in Halifax and Sowerby Bridge

Cash and drugs were seized after a series of raids in Halifax and Sowerby Bridge.

Officers from Halifax Central neighbourhood policing team carried out the searches which saw Class A and B drugs uncovered.

Two men - one in his 50s and one in his 40s - were arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply after the team went to a building on Ripon Street, off Hopwood Lane in Halifax.

A woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods from the same address and officers seized Class A drugs and various other electrical items suspected to be stolen property or proceeds of crime.

At a building on Hollins Bank in Sowerby Bridge, a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply. Officers also seized Class A and B drugs and a large amount of cash.

Meanwhile Class B drugs worth an estimated £7,500 were seized along with cash from another building in Sowerby Bridge. A man and a woman, both in their 30s, were arrested on suspicion of possessing Class B drugs with intent to supply.
