Police seize nearly £1.5 million worth of drugs after stopping three men in Halifax

Drugs worth almost £1.5 million have been seized after police stopped three men in Halifax.

The men - two from Stockton and one from Middlesborough - were stopped by Cleveland Police’s Organised Crime Unit as they made their way from Manchester to Stockton with drugs believed to be cocaine worth in excess of £20k.

Police also searched addresses in the Failsworth area of Manchester, supported by officers from Greater Manchester Police. They two more people and seized more than 11 kilos of drugs believed to be heroin along with a quantity of what is believed to be cocaine.

The total street value of the haul is estimated to be around £1.5million.
