A pregnant woman has pleaded guilty to two charges of theft involving £240 of DVDs from Sainsbury’s in Halifax.

Jordanne Brearley, 19, from Cumberland Close, Ovenden, also admitted three charges of breaching anti-social behaviour orders which banned her from entering a WHSmith store and associating with two other people.

Brearley, along with fellow defendant Kelly Keane, 18, from Lapage Terrace, Bradford, who also pleaded guilty in court, admitted stealing DVDs from the superstore on Wade Street on January 13 and again on January 28.

Miss Keane was fined £175 for the offence on January 28, while Miss Brearley, who is already serving a one year community order for assault committed while under another community order, will reappear at Calderdale Magistrates Court on June 6.
