Raiders broke into a town centre bakery, smashed their way into the safe and escaped with cash.
The incident happened at the Greggs store on Commercial Street, Brighouse, between 5.30pm on Wednesday and 8am on Thursday.
The raiders broke in via the back of the building and smashed their way into the safe, before leaving with a quantity of cash. Nothing else was taken.
Police confirmed that there were no other people in the store at the time of the raid.
Detective Inspector Craig Lord, of Calderdale CID, said: “I would urge anyone who saw anybody acting suspiciously in the area around that time or any suspicious-looking vehicles to get in contact with us.”
