DETECTIVES are hunting robbers armed with baseball bats who burst into a house in Brighouse.

The gang-of-three forced their way into the home in Whinney Hill Park and threatened the people inside.

They escaped with phones, a laptop, handbag and purse in the victim’s convertible Audi A4 and what was described as being a small, silver vehicle.

The Audi was discovered abandoned minutes later by police in Cawcliffe Drive, Brighouse, just a short distance away from the property where the robbery happened.

No one was injured.

Detectives are keen to trace the silver vehicle which officers believe up to four people may have been travelling in.

Anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area before the robbery at 9.40pm on Thursday, or anyone with any information as to those involved is urged to call Detective Constable Craig Pearson in Calderdale CID on 101.
