Second arrest over Huddersfield stabbing

A second person has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 15-year-old boy in Almondbury on Saturday, 8 March.

A 17-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the incident inside an off-licence store in Southfield Road, Almondbury.

He has been interviewed and released on bail. A 27-year-old man is also on bail as enquiries continue.

The offence happened on March 8 between 4.30pm and 5pm inside an off-licence store in Southfield Road, Almondbury.

The victim was involved in an altercation with two males before being stabbed seven times.

He remains in hospital where he is receiving treatment for injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
