Teenager mugged in Huddersfield

A 17-year-old man was mugged by a man with a dog as he walked along Bradford Road in Huddersfield

The victim was near Kirklees Pass It On and Wilco Motorsave at around 8pm on Friday when a man with a pitbull or staffordshire bull terrier dog appeared from some nearby woods.

He shouted to the victim and approached him, then threatened him, demanding his bag.

A struggle took place and the teenager was assaulted and pulled to the floor.

The suspect was able to take the victim’s black Adidas shoulder bag and walk off with it towards Dewhirst Road.

The victim received minor injuries to his hand.

The suspect was a white man in his mid 20s or 30s. He was stocky with short blonde hair and was around 5ft 10ins tall.

He was wearing dark clothing and dark footwear.

The dog was white with brown patches and was not on a lead.
