Police are looking for thieves who stole mobile phones from a hairdressers and a beauty salon in Sowerby Bridge.

The two businesses were targeted last week when two men went in and talking with staff and customers about the services on offer and booking appointments.

While the staff were distracted, the suspects stood close to customers and stole mobile phones belonging to staff and clients.

PC Jonathan Sutton from Halifax Central neighbourhood policing team, is urging businesses-owners to get in touch if they see anything suspicious.

“If staff at any hairdressers or salons think that these men are present at their premises then we would advise them to contact police,” he said.

One of the suspects is described as being in his late 20s to early 30s and the other is thought to be aged in his mid to late 20s.

Both were wearing blue jeans and the younger man had white writing on his.

They were both wearing dark T-shirts, had dark spiky hair and spoke with strong accents described as difficult to understand

Inquiries into the burglaries remain on going and any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact PC Sutton on 01422 337115 or 101.
