Three women attacked on New Year’s Day in Keighley

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after three women were attacked in Keighley on New Year’s Day.

The victims, aged 35, 40 and 59, were assaulted by two men on the corner of North Street and High Street as they walked from the 101 club to Khan’s takeaway after celebrating the New Year.

They suffered cuts and bruises and a handbag was also stolen.

The suspects were described as two white men in their early 20s and around 5ft 9ins to 6ft tall. They were not known to the victims.

One was chubby with short dark hair and wore a black hooded top and dark trousers or jeans.

The other was skinny, with short dark spiky hair and was wearing a black lightweight jacket.

Both are believed to have been in the Cavendish Street area prior to the assaults taking place.

Any witnesses or anyone with information about the attack, at 3.30am, is asked to contact Detective Constable Deborah Gargon at Keighley CID via 101.
